David Williams is the Chief Innovation Officer at AkzoNobel, a position held since July 2022. Prior to this role, David served as the R&D Director for Marine & Protective Coatings at AkzoNobel from January 2018 to July 2022, and held the same title at International Paint Ltd., AkzoNobel from January 2015 to December 2017. David began a managerial role at the M&PC Technology Centre at International Paint Ltd. in February 2012. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Organometallic Chemistry from Durham University and a Postdoctoral qualification in Coordination Chemistry from the University of Lausanne.
