Markus Gershater is a seasoned professional in the field of biochemistry and biotechnology, currently serving as the CEO and Cofounder of Synthace since May 2011, where leadership focuses on transforming biological experimentation. Prior to this role, Markus worked as the Chief Scientific Officer and Cofounder at University College London from September 2009 to August 2012, and held the position of Post Doctoral Research Associate. Markus also has experience as a Biotransformation Scientist at Novacta Biosystems Ltd. from October 2007 to September 2009, specializing in bioprocess development and optimization. Educationally, Markus holds a PhD in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Durham University, completing the latter in 2002.
