Rong Li, Ph.D., is an experienced data scientist and software engineer currently working at Syntax Data since March 2023, focusing on index development and financial data analysis. Prior to this role, Rong Li worked at Tyemill from September 2020 to February 2023, where responsibilities included building data ETL pipelines, machine learning pipelines, and dashboards utilizing technologies such as Ruby on Rails and AWS. Earlier experience includes a fellowship at Insight Data Science, during which projects involved automating email labeling and applying topic modeling to hotel reviews. Rong Li also gained experience as a data scientist intern at D4DT, Inc., focusing on multivariate time series forecasting. Rong Li holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
