Phillip Byrd is a seasoned software engineer with experience in full stack development and project management, currently employed at Syntax Indices since February 2023. Previously, Phillip served as a junior software engineer at Tyemill and as a software engineer at Oakwood, where key contributions included developing a pricing and availability service to enhance user experience and a backend service for historical property pricing data, leveraging Java, Golang, Angular, and Hippo CMS. Earlier roles include work as a junior systems engineer at Blackbaud, where Phillip improved unit test coverage significantly, and as a web administrator for the Southern States Communication Association. Phillip holds a degree in Computer Information Systems from the College of Charleston and a degree in Political Science from Auburn University.
