Sophia Sassoon has a diverse work experience in the field of quality assurance and consulting. Sophia is currently working as the Vice President of Quality at Anagram Therapeutics, Inc. since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal Consultant at Sassoon Consulting LLC starting from December 2020. In 2021, they served as the Senior Director of Clinical Quality Assurance at 89bio until November 2022. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as the Director of Quality Assurance at RedHill Biopharma Ltd.

Before that, Sophia held the position of Quality Operations Manager at Humacyte from April 2017 to September 2019. In this role, they were responsible for developing and maintaining a phase-appropriate quality program and systems for a biologic product. Sophia also served as the quality representative for validation activities and established a "Quality on the floor" program to oversee clinical trial manufacturing activities.

Prior to their role at Humacyte, they were the Quality Manager at Grifols from March 2016 to March 2017. Sophia implemented and owned the quality system, ensuring compliance with applicable SOPs and regulatory requirements. Sophia also served as the Regional Quality Manager at Grifols from March 2012 to March 2016, overseeing QA, QC, and regulatory compliance functions at biologics manufacturing sites. Additionally, Sophia worked as a Technical Consultant and Quality Supervisor at Grifols, where they were responsible for laboratory oversight, audit management, deviation management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Sophia's work experience also includes a role in Regulatory Affairs at Precise Biopharma from August 2005 to March 2008.

Sophia Sassoon earned their Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from Savitribai Phule Pune University, graduating in 2008. Sophia then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Administration from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, completing their studies in 2010.

In terms of certifications, Sophia obtained the Certified Quality Improvement Associate and Certified Quality Process Analyst certifications from ASQ in 2012. Sophia later achieved the Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence certification from ASQ - World Headquarters in March 2016. Finally, they obtained the Certified Quality Auditor certification from ASQ in August 2017.
