Alexandra Brand currently serves as Executive Vice President of Sustainability & Corporate Affairs at Syngenta Group, a position held since November 2023. Brand also holds non-executive director roles at Siegfried Holding AG and Azelis, beginning in April 2022 and March 2019, respectively. Previously, Brand was with Syngenta from October 2015 to October 2023, where responsibilities included Regional Director EAME and Chief Sustainability Officer. A lengthy career at BASF from February 1999 to September 2015 encompassed various senior leadership roles, such as Senior Vice President of Global Segment Management Health & Nutrition and Vice President of Global Marketing Pharma Ingredients. Brand earned a Dr. Ing. degree in Chemistry from Technische Universität Darmstadt between 1990 and 1997.
