Umesh Rajashekar is a seasoned data scientist with significant expertise in algorithm development and machine learning, currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist and Consultant at SyncThink, Inc. since March 2017. Rajashekar has successfully implemented algorithms for detecting eye movement impairments and has developed various eye tracker prototypes, while also creating interactive visualizations and business intelligence dashboards. Prior experience includes a Research Scientist role at the Brain Trauma Foundation, focusing on eye movements as biomarkers for attention deficits, and a postdoctoral position at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, where Rajashekar developed algorithms for image quality assessment. An education background includes a PhD and MS in Electrical & Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a BE degree from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
