Nicolas Jaouen has extensive work experience in the field of synchrotron radiation research and beamline science. Nicolas started their career in 1999 at the Institut Néel CNRS, where they completed their PhD in 2002. Following that, they joined the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in 2001 as a Post Doc, working on the ID12 beamline. In 2004, they transitioned to the role of Beamline Scientist for the same beamline. In 2005, they joined Synchrotron SOLEIL as a Researcher and Beamline Scientist for the SEXTANTS beamline. In 1994, they enrolled at Université de Poitiers and obtained their Master's degree in Physics in 1996. From 1996 to 1998, Nicolas attended Grenoble INP - UGA, where they pursued an Engineer PG degree, which is now known as Phelma. In 1997, they also studied at Université Joseph Fourier/INPG/Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, earning a DEA (Diplôme d'Études Approfondies) in Physics of Matter and Radiation. Finally, from 1999 to 2002, they conducted their Ph.D. studies in Physics at CNRS.
