Erick Burgos has extensive work experience in various research and analysis roles. Erick started their career as a Seismogram Analyst at the Centro SÃsmologico Nacional, Universidad de Chile, where they were responsible for live earthquake analysis and determining earthquake characteristics such as depth, magnitude, and location. Erick also collected and secured data for the creation of prevention and evacuation plans.
After that, Erick Burgos held multiple roles at SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics. After that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Physics at the same university from 2011 to 2013. Erick then went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics at the University of Exeter from 2014 to 2018.
