Benjamin Havumaki is a Principal Associate at Synapse Energy Economics, specializing in electric sector regulation, rate design, cost-benefit analysis, and macroeconomic impact analysis related to new technologies. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the School for the Environment, University of Massachusetts, contributing to a cost-benefit analysis primer for water infrastructure projects, and as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Boston, assisting faculty and teaching various courses. Benjamin also worked as a STEM Advancement Specialist at the Notre Dame Education Center, developing curriculum and integrating workforce initiatives, and as a Math and Biotechnology Instructor at JVS Boston, where curriculum was tailored to diverse adult learners and a successful biotechnology training program was established. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in History from McGill University and a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from the University of Massachusetts.
