Dr. Martin Koerner has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dr. Martin is currently the Founder of Engity since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Interim Chief Financial Officer at SYNAOS starting from August 2022. In 2012, they founded zertisa GmbH and held the positions of Founder, CEO, and CFO, contributing to its growth as a specialized Android software house. From 2019 to 2021, Dr. Koerner served as the CEO of wundertax GmbH. Dr. Martin was previously the Managing Director of Defensito, a leading provider of bird control and drone defense solutions, from 2017 to 2019. Dr. Koerner also served as a Deal Partner at COVENDIT GmbH from 2016 to 2018. Dr. Martin founded Xompu GmbH in 2010 and held the positions of Founder, CEO, and CFO. Earlier in their career, Dr. Koerner was the Vice President Strategic Projects at T-Systems (Deutsche Telekom) from 2005 to 2010 and worked as a Freelancer at Gemetec GmbH in 2003. Dr. Martin also gained experience in the Investment Banking Division of Robertson Stephens Int. from 2000 to 2002.

Dr. Martin Koerner has an extensive education history. In 1996, they attended the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management for an unspecified degree and field of study. In 1997, they enrolled in two different institutions. Firstly, they studied Business Administration at the Université libre de Bruxelles, and secondly, they pursued an MBA at the Ivey Business School at Western University.

Continuing their academic journey, Dr. Koerner joined the Technische Universität Dresden in 2003, where they completed their Ph.D. in Business Administration in 2006. Afterward, in 2007, they attended ESMT Berlin, obtaining a degree in Corporate General Management.
