Changyoon Lee has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Changyoon is currently working at SYNAOS as a Software Developer since November 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Samsung Electronics for six years, starting in January 2013 as a Software Engineer. In this role, they played a key role in adopting consul, collaborating with the DevOps team, and introducing service discovery concepts to backend server developers. Changyoon also implemented service discovery using Consul to discover autoscaling backend servers.
In 2016, Changyoon worked as a Project Lead on a freelance basis. Changyoon built an application connecting foreigners traveling to South Korea with Korean volunteers. Changyoon led the project, which included developing Android and iOS applications as well as a backend server. Their responsibilities included implementing features such as volunteer searching, 1:1 chatting, and Q&A.
Changyoon had an internship at GE in 2011 as a Software Engineering Intern. During this time, they participated in developing an automated test system, built test programs using the Qt framework, and developed a test result analysis program using MySQL.
Before that, in 2010, Changyoon worked as a Research Project Assistant at Korea University. Changyoon contributed to the Korean Food and Drug Administrator Statistics Portal project by parsing Excel file data and saving it into an Oracle Database. Changyoon also participated in the development of the project's website using JSP, jQuery, and Java servlet.
Prior to their civilian roles, Changyoon served in the Republic of Korea Army from September 2008 to June 2010 as a Software Developer. During their military service, they developed an intranet Defence Information Transmitting System using JSP and Java servlets, with a database in MSSQL.
Changyoon Lee attended Korea University from 2006 to 2012, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Education.
