Jacob Acton has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Jacob began their career at Alma College in 2003, where they served as the Director of the Stone Recreation Center and Mitchell Residence Hall until 2006. Jacob then moved on to Washington University in St. Louis, where they held the position of Director of the Residential College from 2006 to 2010. Following that, Jacob worked at Western Washington University as the Assistant Director of Residence Life from 2010 to 2013. Currently, they are employed at Symplicity Corporation as the Lead Client Manager, a role they have held since April 2017. Prior to this, Jacob was a Client Relationship Specialist at Symplicity Corporation from January 2013 to April 2017.

Jacob Acton obtained their Bachelor's degree in Political Science/Government and History from Albion College, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration at Michigan State University from 2003 to 2006.
