Chris Schmidt has diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Chris started their career as a Quality Assurance Analyst at Eclipse, Inc. in 2000. From 2001 to 2009, they held various roles at the University of Colorado at Boulder, including Residence Hall Director, Assistant Director in the Office of Judicial Affairs, and eventually as the Associate Director. In 2009, they moved to the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they worked as the Assistant Dean and Director of Student Integrity. In this role, they managed the Office of Student Integrity, handled budgeting and policy development, and supervised staff. In 2012, Chris joined Symplicity Corporation as a Transition Support Specialist and Implementation Specialist, responsible for implementing student conduct management software in educational institutions. Chris then transitioned to the role of Quality Assurance Engineer at Symplicity Corporation, where they designed and implemented testing plans for web-based records management software. Chris also served as a part-time Scrum Master, facilitating agile development processes. Overall, Chris has proven experience in quality assurance, project management, and leadership roles.
Chris Schmidt has a strong educational background. From 1993 to 1997, they attended Dickinson College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. During their time at Dickinson College, Chris focused on studying French and Religion. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at the University of Colorado Boulder from 1997 to 2001. Chris obtained a Master of Arts degree in Religious Studies during this period. Additionally, in June 2020, Chris obtained the certification of Certified SAFe® 5 Scrum Master from Scaled Agile, Inc.
