Adam Powell

Director of Client Success and Strategy - International (EMEA) at Symplicity

Adam Powell has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Adam started their career at Bath Spa University, where they held positions such as Artswork Manager, Head of Employability, and Head of Enterprise and Local Partnerships. During their time at the university, they focused on enhancing graduate employability and establishing partnerships with local authorities and enterprise organizations.

Afterwards, Adam worked at the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership and West of England Combined Authority as the Director of Skills, where they contributed to the development of regional skills initiatives.

Adam also served as the Business Development Manager for Bristol+Bath Creative R+D, a collaboration between universities and creative businesses that aimed to foster innovation in the creative industries.

Adam had a role as Co-Owner of The Apartment, Bath, an award-winning luxury holiday home in Bath. Adam also held positions at Bath Bridge, a group dedicated to promoting talent and projects in Bath, and Bath Philharmonia, where they served as Co-chair of the Board of Trustees.

Most recently, Adam worked at Symplicity as the Director of Client Success and Strategy - International (EMEA), focusing on providing solutions for higher education clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Prior to this, they were the Director of Client Success for the UK, Europe, and South Africa.

Adam Powell began their education in 1979 and attended ESMS - A unique family of independent schools for boys and girls until 1992. During this time, they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Adam then went on to the University of Aberdeen from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Psychology. After completing their undergraduate studies, they attended City, University of London from 1996 to 1997, where they earned a Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Arts Administration.
