Justine Poggi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Justine currently works at Symphony as an Engineering Manager, where they started in January 2022. Their previous role at Symphony was as a Senior Backend Engineer, where they led development projects for backend microservices and provided support for services in cloud environments. Before Symphony, Justine worked at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer from December 2018 to March 2019. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at ActiveEon from June 2017 to November 2018. Justine also worked as a Software Engineer at ION (Wall Street Systems) from October 2016 to June 2017, where they participated in the re-engineering of a Cash Management software. Justine has a strong academic background, having completed a PhD in Computer Science at Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis from October 2013 to September 2016. During their PhD, they developed a Java runtime for multi-threaded actors/active objects and designed a fault tolerance protocol. Justine also had several internships, including at Inria as a Java/Infrastructure Developer and a Java/Hadoop Developer in 2013, and at Thales Underwater Systems as a Java Developer in 2012.
Justine Poggi completed their education at Université Côte d'Azur. Justine first obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science between 2011 and 2013. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, they obtained two certifications: "Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems" from Coursera in March 2014 and "Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 7 Programmer" from Oracle in July 2013.
