Amela Causevic has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Amela started their career in 2000 as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Sarajevo. Amela then moved on to PE Elektroprivreda BiH, where they worked for over two decades as the Head of ICT Planning and Development Department. In 2021, Amela joined symphony.is, initially as a Service Delivery Manager and later promoted to the position of Delivery Director, which they currently hold.

Amela Causevic obtained a Master of Science degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Sarajevo in 2008. Prior to that, they earned an Engineer's degree from the same faculty between the years 1996 and 2000. In 1995 to 1996, they studied at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb, although the specific degree they pursued is not mentioned. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as the PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) from the Project Management Institute in April 2020 and the Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI in December 2018.
