Tine Thurison Røndbjerg's work experience spans several years and includes diverse roles in various research institutions and laboratories.
Starting in 2010, Tine worked as a PhD student at Høyer-Hansen Group, The Finsen Laboratory, Copenhagen University Hospital. Their role involved studying the urokinase receptor (uPAR) and its cleavage in cancer using in vitro and in vivo models. They also conducted mass spectrometry analyses and developed quantitative assays for measuring cleaved uPAR forms in mouse cancer models. Tine continued working in the same group as a Research Assistant, designing time-resolved fluorescence immunoassays and conducting clinical studies on the prognostic potential of uPAR in cancer.
In 2013, Tine served as a Research Scholar at UCSF, where they investigated uPAR cleavage using in vitro model systems and identified proteases cleaving uPAR using mass spectrometry.
From 2014 to 2015, Tine worked as a Postdoc at The Finsen Laboratory, contributing to ongoing research projects.
In 2015, Tine joined the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) as a Postdoctoral Scientist, where their work focused on uPAR and its cleavage.
In 2017, Tine became a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Biotech Research & Innovation Centre (BRIC), University of Copenhagen, before transitioning to Symphogen in 2018. At Symphogen, they held the positions of Research Scientist and, more recently, Senior Research Scientist.
Overall, Tine Thurison Røndbjerg has gained extensive experience in studying urokinase receptor (uPAR) cleavage in cancer, conducting mass spectrometry analyses, developing quantitative assays, and contributing to various research projects.
Tine Thurison Røndbjerg's education history begins in 1999 when they completed their Matematisk studentereksamen at Stenhus gymnasium. They then went on to attend the University of Copenhagen, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Molecular Biomedicine from 2004 to 2009. Following this, Tine pursued further education at the University of Copenhagen and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Sciences from 2011 to 2014.
In addition to their formal degrees, Tine has obtained several certifications. In 2008, they obtained a FELASA C license (European Animal Research certificate) from the Federation of Laboratory Animal Science Associations. Recently, in 2022, Tine acquired certifications in Projektledelse 2, Project leader module 2, and Project leader module 1 from Mannaz, an institution specializing in courses, education, and consultancy services.
