Kevin McMaster is the current Principal at SymGEO. Prior to that, they were a Senior Project Manager at Blue Raster from January 2015 to January 2018. There, they worked closely with potential and existing clients to understand their business needs, developed strategic partnerships and proposals to identify and capture new business opportunities, and stood up design and development teams to accomplish client goals in a timely, cost-effective manner. Kevin also incorporated spatial and web technology advances into standard operating practice and modern work products.

Before joining Blue Raster, Kevin was a GIS Project Manager at URS Corporation from May 2006 to January 2015. There, they were accountable for full lifecycle project management and for providing lead technical support for a wide variety of engineering and design task orders. Kevin also created 3d visualizations using a combination of City Engine, 3D Visual Nature Studio, ESRI’s 3D Analyst, Google Earth, SketchUp, Adobe Premiere and Photoshop. In addition, Kevin had a lead role on GIS-based proposals, including graphics preparation, project presentations, cost estimations, and contract negotiations. Kevin also helped in marketing spatial data visualization capabilities internally and externally by producing brochures, posters, presentations, and online videos. Kevin's responsibilities included the direct supervision and career development of seven full-time GIS specialists, with a focus on FEMA, DHS, and USACE work.

Kevin McMaster has a MS in Geography, GIS, and Remote Sensing from Western University, a BS in Environmental Science from University of Toronto Scarborough, and a DEC in Science from CEGEP - John Abbott College. Kevin also has certifications from Esri in ArcGIS Online Administration Specialty 19-001 and ESRI ArcGIS Desktop Associate 19-001.
