Roeland Baan is a seasoned executive with a robust background in leadership positions across various companies. Currently serving as Non Executive Director at Syensqo and as President and CEO at Topsoe since June 2020, Roeland also holds the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board at SBM Offshore. Previous roles include President and CEO of Outokumpu from January 2016 to June 2020 and CEO of Global Rolled and Extruded Products at Aleris from April 2008 to December 2015. Additional experience encompasses key roles at ArcelorMittal, Mittal Steel, SHV, and Shell, reflecting a diverse career in the industrial and energy sectors. Roeland Baan obtained a Master of Science in Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam between 1975 and 1980.
