Juan Carlos Fuenmayor has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Juan Carlos began their career as a Summer Intern at Procter and Gamble in 1996 and later worked as an Associate at Salomon Smith Barney. Juan Carlos then joined Bank of America as a Vice President and subsequently moved to the Samsung Chairman's Office as a Global Strategist.
In 2007, Juan joined Anheuser-Busch InBev, where they held various positions including M&A Director and Global Primary Packaging Director. Juan Carlos also served as the Integration Lead and North America Cans and Bottles Sourcing Director during their tenure.
In 2017, Juan joined CervecerÃa Nacional Dominicana as the Commercial Director, Other Categories and PMO. Juan Carlos then moved to Anheuser-Busch InBev once again and served as the CFO/CPO Global Ingredients.
Juan's next career move was to Solvay, where they held the positions of Senior Vice President Procurement & ZBB Champion and later Chief Procurement Officer and President of Solvay Energy Business.
In 2022, they became an SPP Ambassador at The Sustainable Procurement Pledge, and in 2023, they assumed the role of Chief Procurement Officer at Syensqo.
Juan Carlos Fuenmayor earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 1993 to 1997. In 2004, they obtained an MBA in Business Administration from INSEAD. Additionally, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science from MIT Sloan School of Management from 1993 to 1997. Prior to their university education, they obtained a Bi-lingual IB Diploma from the Armand Hammer United World College of the American West from 1991 to 1993. In terms of additional certifications, they are certified as a Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner by Scrum Inc. in 2019. Juan Carlos also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt from ASQ in 2012. Moreover, they completed the Accelerating Change Readiness and Agility Experience from UC Berkeley Executive Education in 2022 and The Strategic Negotiator program from The Gap Partnership in 2015. Juan Carlos also pursued a program in Designing for Organizational Effectiveness from Aresty Institute of Executive Education, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
