Shaheryar A. has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Shaheryar currently serves as an Investment/Budget Analyst Lead at Sydney Water, where they manage multi-billion AU$ budgets and provides financial analysis to various departments. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at the NSW Department of Education. Shaheryar also has experience as a Financial Analyst and Financial Accountant at Xylem Inc., where they provided financial management and reporting for projects. Shaheryar has also held positions as Head of Finance at Hexagon AB and Head of Financial Planning Analysis at Lockheed Martin. Earlier in their career, Shaheryar worked as a Manager in Cost and Management Accounting at FutureCard Industries and as a Management Accountant at Getz Pharma.

Shaheryar A. completed their education in Accounting and Business/Management by obtaining a CPA degree from CPA Australia between 2018 and 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Accounting and Finance, earning a CMA from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA Pakistan) from 2004 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Shaheryar has also obtained several certifications. These include Cognos TM1 from Udemy and Learning Power BI Desktop, Power BI Data Modeling with DAX, Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Microsoft Power BI, and Power BI Essential Training, all from LinkedIn. Shaheryar also holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from CPA Australia, which they obtained in June 2020, and an ACMA certification from ICMA Pakistan, which they acquired in October 2013.
