Birgitte Kjærsgaard currently serves as Distriktsleder/Skoleleder at Thorsager Skole og Børnehus within Syddjurs Kommune, a position held since August 2020. Previously, Birgitte held the role of Pædagogisk leder at Bakkegårdsskolen in Århus Kommune from 2015 to July 2020, and worked as a rådgiver at Kræftens Bekæmpelse from 2013 to 2016. Additional experience includes serving as Afdelingsleder for social psychiatry at Region Midtjylland, Speciallærer at Rosmus skole, and Speciallærer at Toubro skolen. Birgitte began a career in educational consultancy at Landbrugets EDB-center from 1986 to 1997, transitioning from IT to education.
