Tim Haskett is a Synthetic Biology Team Lead at Switch Bioworks since February 2023, where Tim oversees a team dedicated to developing engineered bacteria for nitrogen biofertilizer production in corn roots. Prior to this role, Tim served as a Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 Research Fellow at the University of Oxford from January 2018 to February 2023, focusing on genetic tools for rhizosphere engineering. Additionally, Tim completed a postdoctoral position under Prof. Philip Poole, working on engineered signaling for plant-growth promoting interactions. Tim holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from Murdoch University, obtained in 2018, and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the same institution, awarded in 2014.
