Kristi Yanagihara is a skilled research professional with a strong background in microbial biology and plant disease research. Currently serving as a Research Associate I in Microbial Discovery at Switch Bioworks since September 2022, Kristi previously gained experience as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, within the PGEC collaborative center focusing on plant diseases and immunity. Kristi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbial Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and two Associate of Arts degrees from Chabot College, one in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Math & Science and another in Biology.
