Head Compliance Swiss Life International at Swiss Life

Philipp Mumenthaler has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Philipp is currently working at Swiss Life as the Head of Compliance for Swiss Life International. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Legal for Swiss Life Liechtenstein and Business Compliance for Swiss Life International.

Before joining Swiss Life, Philipp was the Geschäftsführer of Metzgerei Hotz Uster at Hotz Fleisch, Wurst, Traiteur AG. Philipp managed a team of 50 employees and oversaw three branches, catering services, and the production of regional meat and sausage products.

Philipp also gained valuable experience in the hospitality industry as a kitchen trainee at The Dolder Grand. During this time, they supported the main kitchen operations and developed their teamwork and efficiency skills.

In their early career, Philipp worked at Swiss National Bank as a Legal Advisor to the Stabilisation Fund, where they played a key role in the recovery and sale of illiquid assets. Philipp also held various legal and compliance positions at Swiss Life and Clariden Leu, where they advised on regulatory matters and ensured compliance with banking laws.

Philipp started their career as a Project Manager at Swiss Olympic, where they worked on various projects related to sports.

Philipp Mumenthaler completed their education at various institutions. In 1993, they obtained their Matura degree from Freies Gymnasium Zuerich. Philipp then went on to pursue a Masters degree in Law from the University of St.Gallen, graduating in 2000. In 2006, Philipp received their Attorney at Law qualification from the Zurich Law Society. Later in 2009, they pursued an LL.M. in Financial Law from King's College London. Philipp also completed a Solicitor degree from the College of Law London in 2010. Finally, in 2018, they participated in the EHL Master Class of Culinary Arts at EHL, specializing in F&B.
