Margarete Vest, P.E. has over 30 years of work experience in the engineering industry. Margarete most recently worked as a Project Engineer at Swisher starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they were the President of PLE CONSULTING INC. from July 2020 to October 2022. Margarete also spent a significant portion of their career at Georgia-Pacific LLC where they held the position of Regional Environmental Manager from July 1991 to July 2020. Margarete started their career as a Civil Engineer at Precision Planning, Inc. from an unspecified date in 1990 until May 1991.

Margarete Vest, P.E. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Margarete has additional certifications including Associate Safety Professional (ASP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, OSHA 511 – Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry from the Georgia Tech OSHA Training Institute, and 49 CFR HAZMAT INSTRUCTOR-Hazardous Materials Instructor Training- 49 CFR 100-180 from The Sustainable Workplace Alliance. Margarete is also a Professional Engineer (PE) registered with the Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, and the State of Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
