Nachi P. serves as a Principal Scientist and Lab Head at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) since June 2020, focusing on AAV platform development and novel Capsid Engineering for AAV-based therapies in neurology and ophthalmology. Nachi P. is also a member of the Scientific Communications Committee of the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy since May 2021, contributing to editorial content creation and strategies to enhance the society's visibility. In addition, Nachi P. co-founded SwifTAG Systems in May 2015 to improve small animal management systems in medical research. Previous roles include serving as an Affiliate Member and KTEF investigator at Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and as a Principal Investigator at Harvard Medical School, where investigations centered on CRISPR-Cas9 genomic editing for retinal degenerative disorders. Nachi P. earned a PhD in Neurobiology from West Virginia University.
