Carl Sherbino has held several positions in the software engineering industry since 1991. Carl started their career at Q-Life Systems Inc. as an Embedded Systems Software Developer. In 1993, they moved to Loach Engineering Inc. as Manager of Software Development. In 2001, they joined CriSys Limited as Software Development Supervisor. From 2003 to 2015, they worked at Aztech Associates Inc. as Senior Software/Firmware Developer. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at CALM Technologies Inc. as Systems Engineering Technologist. Currently, they are employed at Swidget as Director of Software Engineering and Senior Systems Developer, where they are responsible for the design and development of embedded systems for the smart home.

Carl Sherbino attended St. Lawrence College from 1989 to 1992, where they earned a degree in Computer Engineering Technology/Technician.
