Jón Þórir Þorvaldsson is an experienced professional in environmental engineering and project management. Currently serving as Lead Business Engineer at SWEP since September 2022, Jón previously held the position of Project Manager for Environmental and Social Responsibility at Húsasmiðjan from September 2021 to August 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Specialist in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) at Skipulagsstofnun from September 2018 to August 2021, overseeing EIA projects and ensuring compliance with master and detailed plans, in addition to contributing to the development of digital GIS instructions for master plans. Jón began a career as a Blacksmith at Vélsmiðja Konráðs Jónssonar from August 2003 to December 2010. Educationally, Jón earned a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University between 2012 and 2020, and a student degree from Reykjavik University in 2011-2012.
