Michael Farid is a seasoned leader in the technology and robotics sectors, currently serving as Vice President of Automation at sweetgreen since September 2021, following the acquisition of Spyce Food Co., where Michael was Co-Founder and CEO from December 2015 to September 2021. Prior to these roles, Michael contributed to innovative research as both a Graduate and Undergraduate Researcher at the Biomimetic Robotics Lab at MIT from September 2013 to December 2015, and gained practical experience as a Propulsion Design Intern at SpaceX during the summer of 2013. Michael Farid holds a Master's Degree in Robotics and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
