Zoë Deen

Head Of Catering at Sweet&Chilli Ltd

Zoë Deen has extensive work experience in various roles within the catering and events industry. Zoë is currently working as the Head of Catering at Sweet&Chilli Ltd since December 2021. Prior to this, Zoë worked as a Food and Beverage Manager at TEDxSydney from 2015 to present, where they managed teams in different areas of operation and played a crucial role in coordinating all aspects of event planning. In 2020, they also served as an event producer for TEDxSydney's first virtual event.

Zoë also has experience as an Event Manager at Sydney Restaurant Group from February 2021 to July 2021, where they were responsible for transitioning the company into a new venue and developing event frameworks. Zoë previously worked as a Group Sales and Operations Manager at Peter Rowland Group from February 2020 to August 2020, where they focused on improving daily operations and customer service.

Before these roles, Zoë held the position of Head of Events, Sales & Marketing at Bayleaf Sydney from September 2015 to December 2019, overseeing multiple venues and managing marketing activities. Zoë also worked as a Sales and Event Manager at Compass Group on a maternity leave contract, Senior Sales and Events Executive at the Rugby Football Union, and Corporate Events Officer at London South Bank University.

Early in their career, Zoë gained experience as an Operations and Events Sales Manager at the Natural History Museum and as the Head of Logistics for Workforce Operations at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Throughout their career, Zoë has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

Zoë Deen completed their Bachelor of Business in Hotel, Catering and Management with a major in Marketing at Southern Cross University from 2002 to 2006. Zoë also obtained a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate from the Hospitality Training Academy. In addition to their degree and certification, they hold other certifications such as Certificate 1 and 2 in Commercial Cookery from TAFE NSW, Responsible Conduct of Gaming from CBD College Pty Limited, and Responsible Service of Alcohol also from TAFE NSW.
