Joan Mitjans is a System Engineer at SSC - Swedish Space Corporation since March 2021, and a Telecommunications Engineer for MIST (Miniature Student Satellite) since January 2020, where responsibilities include ground station deployment of the MIST cubesat. Previously, Joan worked as a Telecommunications Engineer at Cosmic Research from October 2016 to August 2019. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Electromagnetics, Fusion and Space Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology obtained between 2019 and 2021, an additional Master's degree from UPC - ETSETB TelecomBCN (2018-2020), and a Bachelor of Engineering from UPC - ETSETB TelecomBCN (2014-2018). Early education was completed at Frederic Mistral - Tècnic Eulàlia, spanning from 1999 to 2014.
