Birgitta Kalinowski is a seasoned geomicrobiologist and hydrogeochemist with extensive experience in academic and research settings. Since January 2008, Birgitta has served as the Scientific Coordinator for the Geochemistry Program at The Swedish Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Co. Prior to this role, Birgitta held positions as a researcher at Stockholm University and as a junior researcher at Göteborg University. Early career experiences include post-doctoral positions at the Royal Institute of Technology and Penn State University. Birgitta's academic journey began at Stockholm University, culminating in a PhD in Geochemistry, following the completion of a Master of Science in General Chemistry.
