Adair Oesterle has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. They started their career in 1987 as a Senior Research Associate at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, where they worked until 1997. In 1995, they also held the role of Senior Research Associate at UCSF.

Adair Oesterle attended Scripps College from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology & Science History. Additionally, they participated in a Microbiology Summer Course at the Marine Biological Lab - MBL Woods Hole, focusing on Microbial Mat in Sippewissett Marsh. Adair also pursued Post-Graduate Science Course Study at UCSB, specializing in Physiology, Kinesiology, and Exercise Physiology. Adair completed their high school education at Buena High School, where they studied various subjects such as Science, Math, History, and Humanities.
