Sandra Lee has a strong background in scientific research and development. Sandra began their career as a Senior Research Associate at Telik, Inc. in 1992, where they developed and optimized biochemical assays for therapeutic targets. Sandra also scaled assays for high-throughput screening using non-radioactive methods. Later, Sandra worked as a Scientist at Theravance from 1999 to 2006. During this time, they focused on research and analysis. From 2007 to 2012, Sandra served as a Research Scientist at QLT Inc., where they developed formulations for controlled drug release and analyzed drug content. Their role also involved the development and optimization of purification methods. Most recently, Sandra worked as an Associate Scientist at Sutro Biopharma, Inc. starting in 2017.

Sandra Lee received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Arizona.
