Hongru Franz Hong is a seasoned data scientist and ESG/SDGs analyst at Sustainable Lab Inc. since October 2019, specializing in the measurement of sustainability initiatives using non-financial big data to drive innovations in investment relations, public relations, and human resources. Previously, Hongru served as a PhD candidate at The University of Tokyo, focusing on environmental projects in China, and worked as an investment manager at both Beijing Fortune Investment Management Co., Ltd. and Genertec (Beijing) Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd. Early career roles included overseas consulting for I & M Italy and editorial management for ER-China, alongside research and project assistance in corporate social responsibility. Academic credentials include a PhD in Sustainability Science from The University of Tokyo, a Master’s degree in Water and Environmental Management from the University of Bristol, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northwest University.
