Marcos Bjoerkelund is a Senior Software Engineer at SUSE since June 2023, previously serving as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at VMware from May 2019 to June 2023, where the focus was on modernizing the packaging process for Bitnami virtual appliances. Prior to that role, Marcos joined VMware through the Bitnami acquisition, contributing to the onboarding of new Bitnami solutions as container images and virtual machines. Marcos began a professional career at Bitnami in October 2014 as a Software Developer, where responsibilities included developing Bitnami Stacks, providing customer support, writing documentation, and maintaining existing solutions, as well as leading the development of the Bitnami HTTPS Configuration Tool and the Bitnami Diagnostic Tool. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad de Sevilla, completed in September 2022.
