Manuel Recena Soto is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as Director of Engineering at SUSE since June 2023, with previous experience at VMware in a similar role where leadership was provided for an 80+ distributed engineering team. Prior roles include Global Head of Engineering Productivity & Developer Experience at Inditex and Release Engineering Manager at CloudBees. Manuel's career began with the founding of klicap, where strategic product development took place, leading to several successful product ventures including ClinkerHQ and Opina Survey Software. A strong advocate for data-driven decision-making and effective engineering practices, Manuel has a comprehensive background in managing software delivery processes, fostering developer communities, and enhancing engineering effectiveness across various organizations. Manuel holds a degree from Universidad de Sevilla, completed in 2004.
