Dan Dinovis has extensive experience in operations management within the hospitality industry. Dan began their career in 2003 as an Operations Manager at Drink Inc. and later worked as an Operations Manager/General Manager at Spin Nightclub from 2004 to 2011. From 2005 to 2012, they served as an Operations Manager at both Drink Uptown and Social House. In 2008, they joined Stallions, LLC. Club New York as an Operations Manager/General Manager, where they worked until 2014. In 2012, they joined Uptown Tavern as an Operations Manager until 2015. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Designer/Operations Manager at Dream Ultra Lounge. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Hospitality Operations at Surly Brewing Co., where they have been since 2018. During their tenure at Surly Brewing Co., they have also held the roles of Operations Manager and General Manager.
Dan Dinovis attended the University of St. Thomas from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a degree in Business Administration. In 2017, they studied Mastery of Beer Styles and Sensory Evaluation at Kendall College. Prior to their university education, Dan attended the American School in Japan from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, Dan has obtained certifications including the Certified Cicerone® from the Cicerone Certification Program in 2016 and the Advanced Wine Certification (Level 2 Sommelier) from the International Sommelier Guild in November 2012. Dan also has a connection with the Better Beer Society, but no specific details about their education there are provided.
