João Amaral Galvão, MD, currently serves as a Business Analyst and Medical Data Analyst I at Surgical Safety Technologies Inc. since August 2022. Previously, from April 2020 to April 2023, João held the position of Assistant Professor at FASE/FMP, where responsibilities included teaching, research, and clinical activities in the Department of Surgery. As General Surgery Residency Program Coordinator at Alcides Carneiro Hospital, João managed resident training and development. Prior surgical experience includes roles as a General Surgeon at Hospital Alcides Carneiro, Rede Hospital Casa, and Grupo NotreDame Intermédica between 2019 and 2021. João completed a General Surgery Residency at Hospital Municipal Souza Aguiar from 2017 to 2019 and served as a physician in the Brazilian Navy prior to that. João earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from UNIFASE in 2015.
