Simon Hancock has an extensive work experience in software development and architecture. Simon started their career at MATRIX Resources in 2002 and worked as a Software Developer until 2004. From 2003 to 2005, they worked as a Software Developer at ACS/Intellinex. Simon then joined Centex Home Equity as a Senior C# .NET Developer from 2005 to 2006. Simon continued their career at Regions Financial as a Senior C# .NET Developer from 2006 to 2007. Simon then worked as a .NET Software Architect/Developer on contract basis at Southwest Florida Water Management District from 2007 to 2009, and at The Home Shopping Network from 2009 to 2010. In 2010, Simon joined HarperCollins Publishers as a Sr. .NET Developer/Digital Operations Manager and worked there until 2014. Simon then worked as a Software Engineer at Thomson Reuters from 2014 to 2015. Currently, Simon is working at Surge, LLC as a Sr. Software Developer and Lead Architect, providing design and support solutions to clients in need of full stack development.

Simon Hancock attended the University of Maryland from 1989 to 2009, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Mathematics and Computer Science. Simon completed their studies in 2009, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
