Nick Deptula has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and entrepreneurship. Nick started their career as a Full Stack Engineer at LTD Real Estate from 2004 to 2006, followed by a similar role at Hawkeye from 2006 to 2010. At Hawkeye, they contributed to developing and maintaining web applications. Nick then worked as a Software Engineer at Getty Images in 2010, where they were responsible for creating and maintaining new features for the Thinkstock.com web application. In 2010, Nick co-founded TasteePic, where they developed a unique visual search platform for local food in the Seattle area. Nick also created web and iOS apps, public APIs, and visual menu widgets for restaurant owners. In 2011, they founded Flip Flop Games and released the Word Colors crossword game for iOS before being acquired by a mobile gaming company in 2013. Nick later joined Purl Inc in 2012 as a Full Stack Engineer, contributing to the development of their software. In 2014, they co-founded Nivarc Inc, where they served as a Co-Founder before departing later that year. Since 2012, Nick has been working as a Full Stack Engineer at Surge Software.
Nick Deptula obtained an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design from The Art Institutes from 2000 to 2003. In 2007, they received a MCSD Microsoft Certified Solution Developer Certificate from Northwest Technical College. In addition, they obtained two certifications from Microsoft: MCP - Microsoft Certified Professional - .NET Framework Application Development Foundation with C# in January 2007 and MCP - Microsoft Certified Professional - Developing Web Applications with C# in January 2005.
