Richard Lyne has a diverse work experience in engineering roles spanning multiple companies. Richard started their career as a Design Engineer at Novatel Wireless in 2000 and worked there until 2002. Richard then joined BW Technologies as a Design Engineer from 2003 to 2005. At BW Technologies, they later became a Hardware Design Lead from 2003 to 2008 and a Program Manager for Sustaining Engineering from 2008 to 2008.

In 2009, Richard joined Carmanah Technologies as a Design Engineer, where they were responsible for product development and creating detailed product specifications.

Richard then moved on to Quester Tangent in 2011, where they held various roles including Hardware Team Lead, Product Lead, and Engineering Lead, Platform. In these roles, they led a mid-sized engineering team, managed on-site test laboratories, and delivered key technology and business advancements for train-based Ethernet audio and data systems.

Most recently, Richard joined Sure Grip Controls in 2021 as an Engineering Manager and was promoted to Director of Engineering in July 2022.

Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive successful projects in the engineering field.

Richard Lyne graduated from the University of Calgary in 1998 with a degree in Engineering, specializing in Electrical. Prior to that, they attended SAIT from 1991 to 1993 and obtained a Technologist Diploma in Electronics Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Richard has obtained several certifications, including a Talent Optimization Certificate from The Predictive Index and PMC Level I and II certifications from Pragmatic Institute in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
