Jonas Cruz is a legal professional with extensive experience in judicial and academic roles. Currently serving as a Court Attorney at the Supreme Court of the Philippines since February 2024, Jonas also holds a position as a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Philippines, teaching courses in Transportation and Public Utilities Law and Taxation since August 2022. Previous experience includes roles as Court Attorney at the Court of Tax Appeals, Executive Assistant, and Supervising Tax Specialist from May 2017 to January 2024. Additional positions were held at the Commission on Audit as a State Auditing Examiner and at the Department of Transportation - Philippines as a Technical Assistant. Jonas began a professional career as a Research Assistant for the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative in early 2014. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor degree obtained from the University of the Philippines in 2020 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accountancy focused on Accounting and Finance, completed in 2014.
