Douglas Gilger

VP Finance & Accounting at SupplyPro

Douglas Gilger has over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting. In 1998, they began their career as a Senior Financial Analyst/Accounting Manager for Encad, a manufacturer and distributor of wide-format ink jet printers and supplies. In this role, they managed the monthly financial close process and was successful in reducing the closing process from eight plus days down to three days. Douglas was then promoted to Cost Accounting Manager, where they performed detailed analysis of open accounts payable, contacted vendors and reduced the aged-open AP by $350K, and established Excess and Obsolete and Warranty Reserve procedures.

In 2004, Gilger joined Sony Electronics as a Controller, where they ensured the accuracy and integrity of the financial information for the $1.2B Networked Technology and Services Division. Douglas also created the format, content and analysis of business unit information adopted companywide for the presentation of financial information to external auditors. Douglas was then promoted to Senior Manager Corporate Planning & Control, where they directed the budgeting, planning and reporting for a $3B consumer and professional electronics company, and drove the general ledger migration from Oracle to SAP on time and within budget.

In 2015, Gilger joined SupplyPro, Inc. as Director of Finance, where they directed the corporate finance functions, human resources, pricing strategy and legal. Douglas created the pricing strategy and processes to meet the company financial objectives. In 2020, they were promoted to VP Finance & Accounting, where they led the overall finance and accounting activities, developed strategies for achieving corporate goals, managed the banking relationships and developed and implemented internal controls. Douglas also negotiated the terms and conditions for a $3M revolving line of credit with their primary financial institution to support their business strategy shift to offer subscription solutions, and coordinated and executed the conversion of $20M in long term debt and accrued interest to equity to clean up balance and position the company to raise capital.

Douglas Gilger received their MBA in Finance from Loyola Marymount University and their BS in Finance from San Diego State University.
