Sarah Valentine, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the fields of writing and literature, currently serving as a Private Consultant and Writing Coach at Sarah Valentine LLC since January 2020. Alongside this role, Sarah Valentine also works as a Manuscript Consultant and Instructor in Creative Nonfiction at StoryStudio Chicago. Sarah Valentine has held academic positions at Sierra Nevada University as an Instructor in English and Humanities, and at Northwestern University as both an Artist in Residence and Visiting Assistant Professor. Prior experience includes serving as an Author at St. Martin's Press and a Visiting Assistant Professor at UC Riverside. Additionally, Sarah Valentine was an Andrew C. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA. Academically, Sarah Valentine holds both a PhD and MA in Russian Literature from Princeton University, and a BA in Russian Studies and Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University.
