James Hinkle has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. James is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Superior Tire Service since 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Controller at Clean Water Services from 2020 to 2021, where they managed financial reporting and accounting functions. From 2018 to 2020, they served as the Director of Administration and Operations at the Oregon State Fair and Exposition Center. In 2017, they were the Finance Director at Aleutian Housing Authority, responsible for overseeing accounting and finance activities.

James also has experience in education as an Adjunct Instructor for various business and accounting courses at Alaska Career College from 2012 to 2018. James has held executive positions as the Chief Financial Officer at Covenant House Alaska from 2014 to 2017, where they managed accounting, finance, and other operational functions. James also served as the Director of Finance and Administration at the Municipality of Anchorage from 2011 to 2014. Earlier in their career, James held positions such as Managing Partner at H2K, LLC dba Wired Caffe and President/Owner at Aurora Foods, LLC Burger King Franchisee. James also worked as the Controller/Director of Operations at Restaurants Northwest Inc. from 2000 to 2003. James Hinkle completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Alaska Pacific University, which they pursued from 2021 to 2023. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Organizational Management from the same university during the period of 1998 to 2000. Additionally, in April 2013, they obtained the certification of Certified Port Executive (CPE) from MacDonnell Group.
