Zahra Warner is a lifelong practitioner of the performing and literary arts. She developed an interest in the therapeutic potential of the arts which led her to attend the M. A. Program in Drama Therapy at New York University after studying Literatures in English and Theatre Arts at the University of the West Indies. During her training, she worked with a wide range of communities, including people living with aphasia, children with autism, and the elderly living with dementia. She became particularly invested in the use of DT techniques to achieve self-regulation and self-expression in the interest of healthy intra- and interpersonal relationships. It was at this time that she became involved in the development of the first season of SuperDVille and fell in love with the groundbreaking project and the incredible casts that it has had so far. Although she now lives back home in Jamaica, she remains involved in the casting and rehearsal processes and aims to bring her training and experience to the support of the SuperDVille cast and team, as they bring this work to life!
