Vesa Ylhäinen has a diverse work experience in the gaming and technology industry. Vesa is currently working at Supercell as a Game Designer, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they were a Senior Game Designer at Next Games from February 2022 to June 2023, and before that, they worked as a Game Designer from August 2019 to February 2022. Vesa also had a role as a Product Manager - Revenue at Yousician from September 2018 to January 2019.

Before entering the gaming industry, Vesa worked at Rovio Entertainment Ltd. Vesa held various positions including Game Designer from December 2016 to March 2018, Producer from April 2014 to November 2016, Associate Producer from January 2013 to April 2014, and Game Designer Trainee for a short period in early 2013.

Vesa's earlier work experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the Finnish Geodetic Institute from June 2010 to August 2010. Vesa also had a part-time role as a Software Engineer Trainee at Fastrax Ltd from June 2006 to 2009, where they focused on data-assisted navigation, C programming, and Bash scripting. Vesa began their career as a Trainee at Nokia from September 2003 to July 2005, where they gained experience in game testing and led the N-Gage game pilot program.

Vesa Ylhäinen began their education in 2004 at Päivölä Upper Secondary School. After completing their studies there in 2005, they enrolled at the University of Helsinki, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science. Vesa successfully completed their studies at the university in 2013.
